Last Notes npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I only just now learned that @npub1cgc…2ndy for a short moment went banana's #nevent1q…hen8 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant its true, shameless superfan. As someone who does not hit the follow button, i rely on npub.world a lot npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant For it to be 1984 mind control it would have to be a 'fact' that has been altered after the fact, and as far as i know (but perhaps big brother is more potent that i give it credit) this is not the case. Stop being hysterical and accept that the America's are effectively our moon bases from a couple hundred years ago. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7RgN9ijwE4 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Don't know who made this, but thank you for your effort. If any content creator wants to have a crack at creating a non-AI version that is just as short, then i very much encourage them to do so. I also invite everyone to watch this 6minute40second video, and crititque it, the narative etc. What is unclear? What does work well? etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q7DpLXaRmg npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant One thing to take into account, is that protocols compete; so eventhough on the surface it might make sense that these are groups of people that would be a prime fit to learn about Nostr, that may as well be the exact reason they won't be a receptive audience at all. After all, its a threat to their vested (in whatever way) interest. There are other factors compounding on top of this, some perhaps a bit petty and/or dishonest, but human non the less. Case in point is the lefty protocol civil war going on beneath the surface where ActivityPub/fediverse people have absolute distain for ATproto; i have encountered this a bunch of times already. And those interests are real: the EU in a concrete sense has started to pump money into the 'space', and thusfar it has been biased towards ActivityPub, and they try to keep ATproto out the door arguing its just another American topdown big-bag-of-money-funded phenomena, which atleast from a narative angle works because a lot of this is centered around becomming independent from US 'big-tech' to begin with. I am glad you are there, perhaps I/we should have been there, but i do wonder whether it is actually fruitfull. But, at the very least, and this has been frustrating/disappointing to me, is that Nostr is often not even part of the discussion, or a consideration; far to often because they have not even heard of it in the first place. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant There was an academic guy inside the field of distributed computing, that came up with this fancy system, and as an argument as to why it could work, he gave an example of something out of Sweden. After the presentation during the questions, another guy remarked that you can't give a Swedish example because its cheating; you can impose any system on Swedes and it will work, because Swedes are fault tollerant. I can look it up for ya if you want. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Its ok, we are not mad...you are now perma banned from Nostr though. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant is there accessable documentation on the spec already? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant you think nuking a megacorp for a 1 time pay-out is going to solve any budget problems? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Either way, it is going to solve fuck all. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant An account is something you have at someone else; a keypair is not something you have at someone else. But ive tried to make this clear multiple times already and all i get is a tautology so i give up. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant nice and flat, as landscapes should be npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant https://blossom.primal.net/c1cbea763d8297d11ade169a7a31401e23116eb38680d2454e4f99e8f8104fd0.gif npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant FFS VITOR, ACCOUNTS EXIST IN A REGISTER BY DEFINITION, WHAT IS THE REGISTER, WHERE DOES IT EXIST, WHO OWNS IT? Non of this makes sense in the context of Nostr. And yes, we most certainly can have accounts with relays on Nostr, thats exactly what piramid does npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Hence, i am not arguing petty semantics, this runs at the core of what it is we are doing here. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant The whole point of Nostr is that your ID is not an account. You can use your ID to have accounts; my npub might be registered as particular relays that allow me to see particular content, hence i have an account with that relay. Its due to the architecture of platforms that there is a conflation between the ID/profile and the account; in that context they are the exact same thing. But you would obviously note it to be absurd if i were to claim that your name, Vitor, is an account; at the same time you understand that your name is registered in various accounts for all sorts of purposes/services. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Please answer my questions and/or look up the defintion in a dictionary and see what the various definition have in common. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant yes, because it is not an account. Where does this accounting exist where this account is registered and who owns this register and as such is doing the accounting? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant You know what, if you want to play that game: Put the parents in jail as well while you are at it for negligence because it is impossible to claim ignorance to the negative/harmfull character of Meta's services. I hated Facebook from the start as much as the next guy, but it is obvious we have to look at this a layer deeper and conclude we simply set up an architecture that gave a hand full of corporations more responcibility than they could possibly carry. The fact that this postition of power was corrupting, and that a corporation is not going to stop itself should both not be to anyones suprise and as such are completely un-interesting to me. What are we going to do to fix it? Nostr. #nevent1q…cag8 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant please replace ''acount'' with ''profile''....or any other word, i don't care, but don't call it an account npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant you mean a browser? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant LOL, ive been installing power lines at a farmfood factory, ive seen more grass in the past 2 days you will ever see in a lifetime. No pictures though npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant They will haunt you to the end of the earth; policies like chat controll itself are an indication of this npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant men kan beter over je fiets lullen, dan over je lul fietsen npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant heuristical maladjustment due to hermeneutic incompetence npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant not counting all the Bitcoiners i know/are friends with, same. But at the very least they have heard of it 😂 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Excluding the continue's because it hit its timewindow limit npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I ran through my entire fable budget on 1 prompt npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Its this weird protestant quirk of frugality and diligence in line with sheperding the earth in sight of predestination; At the same time your fate is set and unknown, but prosperity is an indication of providence. So displays of wealth are shunned, one ought to remain sober/humble; but at the same time wealth itself is a proxy for virtue hahaha npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Leather, they are made out of leather (or synthetic whatever). npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Very poetic Sir. Roses are red, Violets are blue, Your mom is like a garden that we all should visit because her rent is due npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant absolutely true that those platforms game their own metrics, if not just to paint a pretty picture towards advertisers (as well as users/content creators, investors). So in that sense we perhaps should not be too shy in communicating metrics....the problem is that once a metric takes hold it instantly becomes useless because all of it is trivial to screw around with, including zaps. I guess some ''institute'' could try to do some actual network analyses, and publish some rapporting, that is actually possible but its a non-trivial endevour. Something like @npub1xsg…zazx could do it for example, but then you still run into the issue of getting public attention for those numbers; every idiot is able to look up the bitcoin price. Ah well, we can always try to make some sense of these numbers, for what its worth: https://stats.andotherstuff.org/ But in general i think Nostr will have to make its way into the heads of people the hard way, by telling people about it. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Yeah... But Bitcoin has an exchangerate/"price", which is not just relevant in terms of being able to ''invest'' into it in order to ''get rich'' which is an obvious incentive, but its also a very simple metric that generates ''news'' all by itself. Bitcoin hitting a 1000$ was a news event informing a LOT of people of it even existing. I mean in theory we could throw around user numbers, but.....you know.....who the fuck knows what those even are really hahaha npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Interesting. Dutch guy here, and we never really had this issue, probably some Calvinist (or germanic, depending how deep you want to dig) thing. I say had, because the cultural and demographic dominance is waning and has been for some time, together with some other factors. So what i am describing here was very much a thing before 1960s, and has been dismantled to more or lesser degree ever since. The liberation you speak of is still the same, but implicitly it is assumed that it frees you up to pursue either greater or more alligned goals (i dont have to dig holes 10 hours a day for money in order to feed myself anymore, i am now free to do other things). Insofar we have a word for it, its "burgerschap" (citizenship, not in the legal sense, but in the cultural/communcal intrinsic motivation towards carrying responsibility sense). Its expressed via endless and endless amounts of associations/clubs for all kinds of purposes (churches are an obvious example. but also schools, sports clubs, hobbies, interest groups, you name it and there is an association you can join and are expected to stand behind the bar every once and a while). It also expressed itself in aspects of what is termed "Rhineland economics", where businesses, big and small, invested into the community, sponsering these clubs and various festivals, statues/public art etc. Over time, a lot of those responcibilities have been taken over by the government, but there still is a strong undercurrent of ''civil society''. There is more to this, going into ''verzuiling'' (pillarization), where all that i described actually existed among different vertically integrated groups (protestants, catholics, socialists...). So you had a catholic and protestant football club, school, baker, butcher, etc. etc. in the same village, with their own newspaper, radio and tv broadcaster, political parties etc. Those vertically integrated ''pillars'' have been dismantled and now we just have the government. My observation has always been that it was a trick, and that this process of "ontzuiling" (de-pillarization) actually just meant hegemony of an all encompassing progressive ''pillar'' that denies its own existence and dominance. Anyway, your post made me reflect because its such an obvious thing to me that wealth means you can dedicated yourself in those areas that are most suited to you. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant you talk about it as if its a cat that went outside 🤣 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I don't think there are many other things where there is such a discrepancy between the degree of notability/awareness and the level of development-combined-with-relevancy, as is the case with Nostr. Nobody, and i mean, no-body, has heard of it, even the people you might expect to have heard of it. And then when you tell them about it, and explain it, they assume its just this abstract idea of what perhaps maybe is possible......and then you have to make it clear to them; no no, look....it exists....its a thing...look at these bazillion apps i have on my phone. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant my robot may or may not be dumping endless versions/iterations of various nsites onto it at an alarming rate...... npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Blossom is not build exactly for that kind of long-term storage. There is no difference between a blossom server and a relay, other than that one stores nostr-events, and the other stores data-blobs, and both are stored/primarily indexed by their hash...... npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Reads as sensible to me, atleast the principle. Why use blossom though, an ncryptsec could just exist in an event, they are not that big. I don't particularly care for nip05, but there is no reason this could not work via an nprofile (or best effort attempt with an npub). npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant And we do, and will. In the meantime people get their accounts hacked on the various platforms often enough with no recourse all the same npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant The world is full of this crap (i mean "friction" in general), everywhere. The point is that either we got used to it so don't notice it when we jump through now familiar hoops, or we suffer it because it is just the way things are. But hey, Nostr does not have (fundamentally impossible) key rotation, you can't edit posts and deletion is not a guaranteed 100% sure thing (also fundamentally impossible), and managing keys is hard or something so it will never work. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant so what you are saying is that if you don't throw acid into your own face, you are a cuck to the surveilance state? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Gotta go out there and hunt for food, oega boega npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I feel there is some confusion about NIP-29, relay based groups. Yes, they are centralized, obviously, they run on a central server...the relay it happens to use. Doing things like groups in this manner makes it subsequently straightforward, fast, not-buggy, and scalable. You are still free to use whatever relay for such a group, including your own; and as a user you are still able to use whatever app to interface with the various groups running on various relays that you are part of (have a look at @npub1ktx…zc2h or https://flotilla.social/ or whatever you fancy) . The point is the usecase and its context. You should use these relay based groups for (semi-)closed, moderated environments with a hierarchie that is in charge in context of a particular thing. The whole point is that it is a coherent environment, the whole point is that someone is in charge of "censorship"; its a house, you are a guest, and the fact that you can be yeeted out is a feature, not a bug. In this context, censorship resistance does not make sense, therefor decentralization does not make sense. For example, we are running a relay based group for @npub1kds…nsze for user feedback on the app, and even integrated it nicely into the app itself (as should basically every client, to the extend they can be bothered to moderate an environment). As long as Kubo is a thing, that relay group will be a thing, because we have an interest in keeping all of that up and running. If/When Kubo is no longer a thing, whats the point of the associated group anyway? On top of this, forking and migrating a group to another relay is possible. It might not be the cleanest proces in the world, but it does mitigate the risks of host-relay-failures. Lastly, all of this exists within the broader Nostr context, you are not solely dependent on the relay-group to be and to stay into contact with others in that group, all the other means Nostr provides are still available to you for that purpose. Its just another tool in our toolbox that we can leverage, and in this case constitutes an improvement over things like Discord. Nostr. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant aardig wat clients voorzien in auto-translate dus opzich hoeft dat niet eens direct. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Meet @npub1awt…t5rs He is active in the public sphere here in the Netherlands informing and warning people on things like chatcontrol, digitalID and the digital panoptigon in general. Forgive him that he still thinks Nostr is too difficult for the public at large, he basically only created a keypair in order to have a back-up. He is yet to realize the issue that it is unfamiliar rather than complicated. He probably is also yet to realize that Nostr is a better system all together, not just an escape hatch. He just needs a bit more motivation himself to start using Nostr more actively. Most likely all his content will be in Dutch, but thats ok, say hi and give him a follow regardless, he is doing good work.. Speaking of his work: https://substack.com/@michelportier https://www.youtube.com/@MichelPortier-101 (who knows when he opens his Nostr client again, but when he eventually does, please let him have an exploded notifcation tab) #nevent1q…63st npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant digging the baby-blue npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant would also mean an instant bootstrap of relay based groups as such, and hopefully makes this whole Nostr thing click for people the moment they open a relaygroup-client, and see all those ''client-relay-groups'' there. At that stage, all these things start to weave into eachother to the point: ''so is this like twitter, or more like discord, or more like reddit?" "yes" npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Its a bit weird though, shitting on Nostr. I get it if you are already tied to another protocol like atproto or activitypub; protocols compete after all. But i will just assume that is not the case with Dan. Could also be you don't care about freedom tech at all, or don't understand the issue, but that would be a bit weird for someone in Bitcoin (but could still be possible). So what is his deal? If its ''its not going to go anywhere", then i wonder at what point he came into Bitcoin, because if we roughly align Bitcoin's jan 2009 to Nostr's jan 2021, Nostr is currently halfway 2014. Bitcoin's price on 03-07-2014 was 666$, off from the 1k peak in december the year before. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant here you go: https://satellite.earth/ But it has been having some issues lately, so millage may vary. https://azzamo.media/ It has per month option, but given your file sizes you get into the bigger tiers quickly So given what you express that you want/looking for, satellite, earth is it. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Guy died in the hospital, 7 people arrested. Third shooting in 2,5 days in my street 🤸♂️ #nevent1q…8d8l npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Shots were fired, a guy is probably dead, another guy arrested, some women is still frantically screaming and im surrounded by a sea of cop cars. GM npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I think any attempt at herding cats its pointless (i already struggle to control the single cat i live with) The "expert" angle in the new Nostrhub is a bad idea, simply because humans gonna human, and humans form cliques and before you know it one clique dislikes another clique. Especially since we have no proven way to prevent w4men from accessing computers (we should really figure this out before society completely collapses because of this issue), this is bound to result in drama. Now obviously i have positioned myself in popcorn stocks for this reason, so im fine either way, but the nice thing about Nostr is that WE DON'T HAVE TO GET ALONG. As long as we all submit to NIP-01 (praise be upon it), and leave kind1 the fuck alone (looking at you Vitor), we should be fine, ultimately, hopefully. Is the potential (what am i saying, its guaranteed) chaos possibly a reason this whole enterprise fails? Yes. Is it better if for the most part we are able to coordinate on the use of NIPs, such that we have a healthy interoperable ecosystem that is bigger than whatever BIGCORP TM will try to force upon the network at some point? Also yes. Ive mentioned this elsewhere already, but i think instead "experts", it is a better signal to have clients declare what NIPs they use, and have that be indexed/reflected inside Nostrhub. That way you can see what is actually in use on the one hand, and hopefully apps are less offensive/triggering than individuals. I mean seeing "Damus uses this NIP", just hits different than seeing that some drunk yellow fever novice psychonaut thinks a NIP is good. This way we can all welcome Primal to join in the NIP declaration when they finally decide to become a Nostr app. Will this solve the divide between the Jack-titty-sucking-in-crowd and the outsider-forced-to-do-it-on-the-side-because-we-lack-jack-nipple-therefore-we-are-more-authentic-crew? No, it won't, and it should not either, because if it was not for flame-wars, what else would we do...other than praying @npub1kk0…6xq2 will continue posting girly bullshit again asap. Ok, now i am really going to bed, because i also lack opensats-mana-from-heaven and am faced with an early morning and a long day of manual labor in order to feed Kitty. Nostr. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I think every client would do well to integrate their own relay-based group and by extension forum, if not just to be a sensible place to discuss bugs, features, how-to's , FAQs etc etc in the context of the app itself and in the context of the app's purpose. Im seeing if we can push things in that direction with Kubo npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I call fake, you just tilted the camera and photoshoped that background🧐 nice try but you dont fool me! npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant says the guy with the moustache, and you know what happens when you listen to guys with moustaches! npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Can you please make sure when you share your article/recap, you do so via "nostr:nadder1...", instead of using a weblink, in this case njump.me/naddr1.... "nostr:" is the way to make a Nostr native reference to another event; using an URL basically pull people out of their clients and makes them go to a website (some clients happen to interpret these URLs such that they will open them in the client, but its best to stick to the correct method). Inside yakihonne ''post in a note'' option does this automatically for you. The other option is to select "Copy naddr", and add the "nostr:" infront of it manually. Thank you for your efforts with Nostr recap🙏 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Bit of context. I made a thing where you can take a replay, and turn any point in that replay into a save-file such that you can continue playing from that exact point in the game. Two things combined make testing difficult: First: To play such a save-file, i need an additional player, otherwise it simply wont start. Second: The game assumes the other player already has the save-file (reasonable, because supposedly that other player was there when the save-file was created). Now the second part is something i want to automate via Nostr, but regardless, i am having a hard time getting random players online to download the file....they don't trust me :( npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Who has Starcraft remasterd, ideally running on windows, and wants to help me test a bunch of things? #asknostr npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant he is ''crashing hard'' for attention purposes. The only thing i have that is of any real use is the tags for disclosing musig2, because it has to take parity bytes into account. As well as a convention that if you want to make a disclosure on a identity as a whole you apply the tags to the kind:0, and otherwise put the tags in whatever particular event you are using musig2 for: Tags `musig2` The list of participant pubkeys in 32-byte x-only BIP-340 form (the same shape as `event.pubkey` and `p`-tag values). ```json ["musig2", "<participant-pubkey-1>", "<participant-pubkey-2>", ...] ``` ### `musig2-parities` The parity bytes for each participant, in **the same order** as the `musig2` tag. Each value is exactly `02` (even Y) or `03` (odd Y), lowercase hex. ```json ["musig2-parities", "<parity-1>", "<parity-2>", ...] ``` Both tags MUST appear together when disclosure is intended. A `musig2` tag without its `musig2-parities` companion, length mismatch between the two, or any parity value other than `02`/`03` renders the disclosure malformed; verifiers MUST treat the event as a valid single-signer event with no MuSig2 claim. At most one `musig2` and one `musig2-parities` tag per event. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant 🫡 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant @npub1utx…50e8 better get ready to stream again sir npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant As for what ive build that already works (replays, maps etc all shared via Nostr). The point is not you can send BTC to a Nostr profile, the point is that Nostr already indexes naturally anything that is relevant to Bitcoin. Yes, this means you can go and create a kind:0 (profile) for a BTC-address, or send BTC to a Nostr profile, sure. But there is a lot of potential (meta) data involved with your Bitcoin Wallet. Address book/contacts, transaction labels, wallet descriptors and scripts. Those things are already tied to a (master)keypair, and as such a very easy query away from fetching if they were stored via Nostr. The only response i got to this idea was this: #nevent1q…r4gl In a way it is a weird and confusing position to me. What system are you supposed to use for "must-be-available data"? What do we use now? What are they planning to use? What makes a server or system adequate for "must-be-available data", the fact it has a sticker that reads "reliable" on its housing? Does one solution exclude another? Data availability and reliability on Nostr are straight forward, because it does not fool you with false promises: You figure it out. Redundancy is resilience, decentralization is censorship resistance, paying for a service will probably net you more reliability than something you use for free. More relays, better relays, migration to different relays over time....thats it, thats all there is to the ''data availability'' story anyway. Wouldn't Nostr be more straightforward (and literal) "sell" towards enterprise? The issue with the ''no vendor lock-in'' pitch, is that it also assumes there is an existing eco-system to fall back on; and the interoperability magic also applies for all these platforms that have full business software suites... and there are plenty of those platforms that market aggressively. Would be nice if Nostr would get a foothold in the enterprise world, its a vector our direction competition as Nostr/the protocol, does not have. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant that screenshot is from within primal npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Inside Nostr its best to avoid weblinks to Nostr events, because...well...you needlessly force people to leave Nostr, to enter Nostr elsewhere again. Below is a technical explanation but in short, next time select "Copy Article ID", instead of "Share Article" of "Copy Article Link". Copy Article ID gives you the Nostr link, you can use inside Nostr posts https://cdn.azzamo.media/31235bf4726738a1a1964b2806cd14b5be57e572543427da8c9c8e8ef2e5d056.jpg You can always just use ''nostr:'' infront of anything nostr like nostr:npub1... of nostr:nprofile1.... to reference people (nprofile is prefered because it has a relay-hint embedded into it, so others know where to look in order to find that npub) Or infront of nostr;event1, or nostr:nevent1 to reference general events, where in this case, ''nevent'' instead of ''event'' is the prefered one with the relay hints included. Articles, the thing you shared, are referenced via ''naddr1'', because articles are so called ''addressable events'', which means that some self declared address, in this case actually the title of the article"papers-please", is included in the reference so you can get the latest version. So all you have to do is put nostr: in front of the naddr1. If you use "Copy Article ID" it does so automatically btw. #naddr1qq…zjha npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I love post-it notes though #betterthannothing npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant The ''ncryptsec'', is an encrypted "nsec". Nsec stands for Nostr Secret Key, as opposed to the npub, the Nostr Public Key. It is the thing with which you sign all your publications, so that i know those publications came from you (assuming). Because you use your secret key all the time in Nostr, it has to ''live'' somewhere and be accessible for use. So it is inside some Nostr app, perhaps a signer-app that connects to all your other apps, such that your nsec is only inside 1 app, and you don't have to trust all the other apps with your secret. If your secret is not inside some app, where is it then? How do you back it up? At the end of the day, its just a number. Do you write it down? It is a very long number though, so that might be a bit cumbersome to do right. You could use a list of 12 words, like is common in Bitcoin. Of the bazillion possible ways you could back-up your nsec, i proposed what is hopefully some mix of straightforward, cheap, and ''good enough/better than nothing''. Which brings me back to the ncryptsec, the encrypted Nostr private key, a password protected nsec. Its just a way to scramble the secret number using a password. Provide the password (whatever that password may be, you decide on creation) and you can unlock the nsec. Now at the very least the secret is not out in the open directly, so ''moving around'' an ncryptsec is probably better than '''moving around'' a bare nsec. What i mean by moving around is that the secret is always transferred in some way; it becomes visible on your screen if you want to be able to write it down, it passes a wire or wireless connection etc. And then in order to store that password protected nsec, you use an NFC card. or whatever NFC capable chip in whatever formfactor (they come in stickers, cards, rings..); i.e. a thing you can hold against the back of your phone and transfer data to it. So the flow is: Have some NFC thing, or buy it (not expensive at all); Create a keypair inside some app (preferably a signer); press back-up; type in the password you want to use; Hold card against the phone. Done. Now you need to remember the password though, so its not as if i did not replace one issue with another, i totally did. npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I will up you guys one more: I think it is even ok if you write the password onto the card npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Came up with this 5 min ago, therefor i am certain i am right. An NFC card with an ncryptsec is probably the most straightforward minimal viable back-up one can have (especially if you can create it from and load it into your signer automatically). Cope in the comments npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant I am about to kill a darling, in this case the use of Musig2 inside TEPP for the association event between parents and children. In trying to plug all sorts of holes i took a step back and realized that perhaps a different perspective is in order. TEPP introduces a "regime" onto a keypair, where others provide the permissions and restrictions that define that regime. Ok, but it is not water-tight and never will be. But perhaps that is not the end if the world, as long as things remain actionable and transparent the moment things do go wrong. The insight i had was that, at any moment, your kid can just walk to the front door of your house, open it, and walk away. People/children generally don't flee their home, people generally try to escape from prisons. TEPP is not a prison, it is a home. Its the walls and structure your parents provide to facilitate you according to your parents insight. The restrictions are, hopefully, in your best interest, to guide you on your way to get on your own two feet. In this case to at some point walk the digital plane permissionlessly npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant based npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant did you say Inn man Gin? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant Yakihonne is based. #nevent1q…9402 npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant i approve of the choice of client though npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant how about you atleast reference things properly: @nprofile…ccqt npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant nostr https://cdn.azzamo.media/b270c8ed8183885d93d80990df61a4f52f0eb20555513435ceb9e4420339d91f.jpg npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant What did they want? The bottom-line, is, and always will be, a matter of bits available on some drive that is connected to the internet. If you can tell me about/point me towards any other existing reasonably mature network/protocol that conveniently already runs on indexing by pubkeys and hashes, please, show me; But I for one, am more than fine sending a client to task to look around if any keypair by chance has some (encrypted) descriptor data stored in Nostr events on some relay somewhere, regardless if the relayhints have gone stale or not. The mistake in thinking is a confusion of two problems: Data availability, for which Nostr gives you have all the potential solutions imaginable irt redundancy, geographical distribution and everything in between self-hosting and using a large variety of third parties. What you seem to miss is this other problem: Knowing what it even is you are looking for. So again, what other system out there allows for a simply query based on a public key that has a chance of giving me what i seek? npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw Constant When i came up with the rough sketches in my mind for what ultimately became TEPP two years ago, i hoped we were able to front-run some of the madness i saw looming at the horizon when it comes to "child online safety" and the legislation proposals that would come with it. Did not expect things to go this fast, and it is clear a policy agenda has taken shape internationally, seeks rapid implementation and by the looks of it seems to get it. Ok...so we can't front-run what is already at our doorstep, at least we are starting to formulate a response.
