USPSA requires a lot of movement and proper leg work. You can have the best hits but if you can’t run fast and decelerate properly you will be slow and it will affect your scoring. I really struggled with running so I hired a coach that works on my speed and agility now. My shooting has improved significantly!

Yeah I don’t beat myself up. I got really annoyed cause I do 10 times better when training. Competitions are super stressful for me. Also I was the only woman in my squad and it adds to my anxiety haha!

It was one of those competitions that makes me drive back home in silence and question my existence lol. I did really bad today! A lot of trigger freeze, clumsy reloads, slow pace, bad hits. Moreover I totally failed one of the classifier stages 🥲
I’m proud of my stage planning though, also I got much better at moving and shooting, entering and exiting positions. But anyway I don’t want to look at the scoreboard this time 🙈

I’m super excited to hear that I inspire girls to try USPSA. It is a male dominated sport and usually I compete against 70-80 men. It’s a lot of pressure and I’m not surprised women are afraid to start. Today my friend Kylee joined my training and hopefully soon we will compete together 👯‍♀️

I do a lot of speed and agility training in the gym to become a better shooter. I didn’t know how important it is to learn how to properly accelerate and decelerate, move sideways etc. I hired a personal gym coach for this purpose lol 🙈 here’s a little bit of my training and a video of me competing

I think it’s both the button and the grip texture around it cause it’s the contact point where I press the hardest with my hand

This Gen6 is not being nice to me 🥲 Glock improved grip texture in this generation and it’s ripping my skin so bad. I still love it though

USPSA is fun! I would say it has nothing to do with self defense and real life scenario, so I view it solely as a sport. But it will definitely help to improve speed and accuracy overall

Today I switched from G45 Gen5 to G17 Gen6 🥰
The gun is brand new so the trigger is very tight. I struggled a lot with trigger freeze today. The grip texture is very sharp too, it ripped my hand. But overall I loved it, the grip is much tighter and less bouncy than G45. I expect it to ruin my performance significantly while I’m getting used to it lol but it’s a part of the game.

I’ll admit, I was nervous about giving a Bitcoin 101 workshop at @npub1key…lt3h — thought New Yorkers might not be into self-custody. I was so wrong! We had a blast, and to top it off, we ended with a fun game: two groups raced to see who could donate Bitcoin to @npub17xv…c9as the fastest. The energy was incredible!
